With 2 clicks to the section

When you have generated your first floor plan, the generated floor plan is displayed in the section tool. With two clicks, you can define the desired section and simply add it to the batch mode-processing. With PointCab Section, you can immediately determine one or any desired sections; the generation of the single sections ensues automatically. The batch mode-processing was one of the most desired features of our customers. As from version 1.4, it is a permanent feature of our laser-scanning software.

Free or parallel to the axes

Based on the normal operating principle of all CAD systems, PointCab provides the possibility to define axially parallel sections. Each CAD technician works with the top view in combination with the front, side and rear view. Then, a 3D CAD model arises out of the single views. PointCab provides you these desired, axially parallel sections out of your point cloud; then, you can load and process them in your CAD software. And for the special cases – simply define a free section.

The professional defines a section by two coordinates

The advanced section options allow to define a cut by coordinates. For instance, a façade plan can thus be determined by entering the coordinates of two corners of a house. Of course, this relates to local and georeferenced point clouds.

Automatic definition of sections

In larger projects, it is often necessary to define sections with a fixed distance. With PointCab, you simply define the first section, specify the translation as well as the desired number of sections – PointCab will take care of the rest for you. Nothing could be quicker.
